The Beauty of Tigers

Tigers really are some of the most beautiful creatures on the planet, as they are lean, mean hunting machines that are not matched by any other animal on the planet. You will see in tiger photos that the creatures are actually fairly large, and yet they are able to slink through the jungle when hunting their prey. They are almost completely silent when they move, and that is what makes them such deadly hunters. They are able to take down animals easily and quickly, making them one of the planet’s most efficient hunters.
Tigers have been popular in art works throughout the centuries, specifically in parts of the world like India, Sri Lanka, China, and Korea. You can find all kinds of awesome Oriental paintings with pictures of tigers, including pictures of tigers stalking their prey, pictures of tigers sneaking up on a man hunting the tiger, pictures of tigers with their young, and even pictures of tigers blending in seamlessly with their background. The beauty of tigers is that their skin tends to blend nicely in with the foliage and wildlife around them, so they are easily able to hide when hunting.
One of the most popular of the tiger characters that you will ever see is Shere Khan from Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book. In this book, the tiger is a subtle manipulator that is lame in one leg, but in the Disney adaptation of the book, Shere Khan is a much more refined, elegant tiger that speaks very properly. The way the tiger is depicted in the cartoon is as a villain, but it does capture the elegance and the lithe grace of the tiger.
Another popular tiger character is Tigger from A.A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh book series. The cartoon depicts Tigger as being a fun loving, happy go lucky sort of character that all the other characters enjoy. This is another side of tigers that many people never see, but it really is there in the playful felines. You can find a number of Tigger clip art pictures that can give you an idea of how much fun the character is, or you can actually find tiger photos of tigers playing around and interacting with each other.
Resting TigerYou will be surprised when you see the tiger photos and realize their size in comparison with other cats. The lion is smaller than the tiger, though the size of the tigers and lions tend to vary. The African lion is the largest of the lions, and it comes in at 250 kilograms, while the Siberian tiger clocks at around 360 kilograms. You can look at tiger photos and see that lions are a bit taller in the shoulder than tigers, but tigers tend to be much longer and stronger. The tiger photos will impress you at how lithe and swift these creatures can be.
